E-Sign Consent

Settle works entirely online. To use it, you agree to receive documents from Settle electronically and to sign documents electronically. This page explains what that means and your rights under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN). Please read it before you agree.
By checking the consent box when you create your account, you agree that Settle may provide the following electronically, instead of on paper:
You also agree that your electronic signature, made by clicking, tapping, or typing your name to approve something in Settle, has the same legal effect as signing on paper.
Settle uses its own signing technology. Each time you sign or approve something, we record who signed, the date and time, the device used, and a fingerprint of the document so any later change can be detected. You can view and download every document you’ve signed from your account.
If these requirements change in a way that could stop you from accessing or keeping your documents, we’ll tell you and ask you to agree again.
You can ask for a paper copy of any document we’ve provided electronically by emailing [email protected]. There’s no charge.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing doesn’t affect documents you’ve already signed or received. Because Settle works only online, withdrawing consent means you won’t be able to send new requests, sign agreements, or use features that need your electronic signature. Settlements you’ve already accepted stay in place.
It’s your responsibility to keep your email address and phone number up to date in your account settings so you receive documents and notices. You can update them at any time.
